Espresso prepares your pupils for their phonics screening check. Use videos to support in-class teaching, for group interventions or assign instantly to consolidate knowledge at home.

Lesson plans have been specifically designed to be simple, without too much preparation. They’re perfect for supporting TAs, ECTs and supply teachers with teaching phonics confidently and can be accessed online via the platform, or downloaded as a weekly plan.

We know practice makes perfect! Children are supported to blend sounds, match pictures to words and accurately form letters. Guided reading? We’ve got you covered. With 72 E-books, guided reading can be completed as a whole-class, form part of a carousel or be used in interventions.
Tackle Tricky Words
Help your pupils feel confident reading and identifying nonsense words. You’ll find lessons covering tricky words across Phases 1–5, as well as supporting activities to practice blending, spelling and reading high-frequency words.
